Asha made her List A debut for Kerala on November 28, 2006. She played her first-class match on September 10, 2007, and her Twenty20 debut on December 3, 2009. In 2011, she joined the Railways cricket team and played there for ten years.In 2022, Asha moved to Puducherry to commentate on a men’s T20 tournament. She soon became the captain of the Puducherry team for the 2021-22 Women’s Senior T20 Trophy. In February 2023, she signed with Royal Challengers Bangalore for ₹10 lakh.During the 2023-24 Women's Senior One Day Trophy, Asha was the leading wicket-taker for Puducherry, taking 16 wickets in seven matches. She also scored over 200 runs in that tournament. On February 24, 2024, she took five wickets against UP Warriorz, becoming the first Indian woman to achieve a five-wicket haul in the Women’s Premier League.
